Last weekend (I know I am a little behind) we went on our first road trip to Houston. John was wonderful he slept the whole way there and most of the way home. It was awesome. It was the first time Jeff and I went somewhere and we didn't have any plans and did not have to do this or that or be back by a certain time... it was FANTASTIC! We just hung out and of course went to Ikea- twice! We stayed with the Moore's- Jeff's friends and had the best time ever we did not want to leave! Here is a few pics of the fantastic weekend!
On our way to Yitin's.... he was really excited about meeting Garrett!
Yitin and me with the babies!
Then on Saturday we meet up with Annie and went shopping at Ikea again... Annie talked me into buying way too much but I am glad she did b/c I love everything. Then we went to meet Mimi- her niece. She is so CUTE and tiny!
Marilyn and Ash loved John pants!!!

This is Rachel and baby... John loved going to sleep on her! This is Jeffrey's friend Trey Moore...
This is Cracker... is he not the cutest thing EVER he is a BEAST! you should see him dive (all 110 lbs) in the water after toys... he seriously should win most dramatic dog award! it is hysterical!
Okay Rachel look away... This is the game Marilyn named goggle throw wash... you toss you goggles in the bucket of dirty water to wash them... she was not supposed to be doing this.
This a picture so I will not forget her!
This is the girls lizard that Marilyn insisted I take a picture of!
This is my morning happy baby..
Here is a video of him cooing away... this was the first day he started doing it ALL the time...I love the sound of him cooing I could listen to it all day long. Up until now it has been a little here and there but now he is doing it all the time!
This is on our way home and the perfect ending for a PERFECT vacay at the Moore's!
Welcome to Our Nourishing Hands. I spend my time chasing a toddler around and making sure he gets all the nourishment he needs. After this job is complete [insert laughter], I teach English at a local high school while attending Centenary College at night to complete my Master's in Education. Then in my spare time, I blog about it!!
I created this blog when I began having difficulty getting my son to eat his veggies! I wanted to record my hectic journey. I got tired of dodging veggies and seeing them go to waste. Thus, I spend time preparing meals with hidden wholesome foods that are tasty--well as long as he thinks so! It takes time and patience! I can't guarantee adults will find my meals appetizing, but as long as our kiddos eat it...I am happy!
Our lives maybe crazy, but at the end of the day we have the Lord, each other, a beautiful son, and a wonderful, supportive family! We are so graciously blessed and thank Him everyday for the joys in our lives! I hope you will find my blog helpful! I promise to update as frequently as my health, son, husband, family, dogs, students, and professors will allow!
